Grab the Summer Salads Mini Cookbook, Histamine Summit and Check Out This Great Deal

If you've been following along with the podcast, you'll know there have been some big changes in my world!

We are slowly getting settled back into life in Cincinnati. It's been great to start entertaining and seeing all of our friends again after being gone a year.

I always do at least a small cheese board for events and this was one I made for friends last week. I even added some dragonfruit which is pretty unusual to find here unless you happen to have a specialty market like Jungle Jim's.

The boys are home from school, I've been doing plenty of house projects and we've already spent some time at the pool, so summer is pretty much now in full swing even thought the calendar says we're not quite there yet.

If you would like to learn more about what's been going on and how we got back here, check out episode 87 in your favorite podcast player or on YouTube. I'd be so thankful if you'd subscribe while you're there!

NIRA Laser

This week, I posted a new article all about the NIRA laser. In the past I shared my results with my hooded eyelids and fine lines and wrinkles around my eyes. If you’re ready to take your skincare routine to the next level, I highly suggest you check out my thoughts after using their product for nearly a year.

I've observed some great results when I use the device consistently and I plan on getting back to daily use now that we’re more settled after our move. For the next week, you can get an extra juicy discount on all of NIRA’s products! You can always save money at NIRA using my link and code HEALNOURISHGROW, but from now until June 12th, you can save an extra five percent for a total of 15 percent off!

Summer Salads

Speaking of entertaining, one of my favorite additions to a summer gathering is a fresh salad. I put a few of my favorites together for you in a FREE mini cookbook, go grab it here.

Histamine Summit

Dr. Mill came on the podcast to share about histamine health. She is hosting a FREE summit where you can learn more (hint: if you're tired, have digestive problems or food sensitivities, this could help). Happy Friday! I am extra excited to be chatting with you today because I have some news regarding a project I've been thinking about forever. For years I've been solving the same problem every single week. What am I eating, what does hubs want to eat (anyone else ask that question like four times a week?!?), what do I need to buy? Do I prep things for the week on Sunday or wing it every night? Rinse and repeat. It's mentally exhausting! I know I am not the only one. You tell me the same thing...

Sliced smoked brisket on pink butcher paper

Something happened in January that was LONG overdue. The U.S. government finally updated its protein recommendations for the first time in over 70 years. They basically doubled them. The old RDA was 0.8 grams per kilogram of body weight, which worked out to about 55 grams a day for a 150-pound woman. That number got treated like a goal when it was actually the bare minimum to avoid deficiency. Not to thrive. Not to build muscle. Not to lose fat. Just to survive. The new 2025-2030 Dietary...

I have some news. I just passed my NASM personal trainer certification. At 52 (ok two days before my birthday but still technically 52 lol). If you told me even a couple years ago that I'd be adding CPT after my name, I would have laughed. For over 30 years my focus has been on nutrition, wellness, and the mindset side of healthy living. Training was something I did for myself, not something I thought I'd ever coach. Two things changed my mind. First, competing in a bodybuilding competition...
